Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
If you enter a name or date of birth in a search tool, the query goes to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the request and returns its service results. Washington County Warrant Records does not store or log the search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you email the operator, the message may be retained so it can be answered. It is handled by the operator's team and is not shared with an outside party unless a legal duty requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the server may receive technical details about the visit, including:
- The internet address assigned to the device.
- The browser and its version.
- Device type and operating system.
- Pages opened and the time spent on them.
- The site that referred the visit, when available.
- Time stamps for page views.
Cookies and Analytics
This site uses cookies, which are small files saved on a device. Analytics services may combine traffic information to show which pages receive visits and where people leave. Browser settings can block cookies. Some site functions may work differently when they are disabled.
What We Do With This Data
- Maintain the site and keep pages available.
- Send a search request to the partner service that operates the tool.
- Review which pages are useful and where information needs work.
- Find and repair technical faults.
- Display advertising that may relate to a visitor's interests.
No Warrant Data on File
This website does not host, compile, maintain, or sell a database of Washington County warrants or personal warrant records. It provides general directions to public sources, including the Washington County Sheriff's Office, the courts, and the city's municipal courts. Visitor information is not combined into a consumer report or a record about another person. The Tennessee Public Records Act covers qualifying government records; it does not turn data held by this private site into a county record.
Third-Party Search Partners
Search widgets may be run by outside providers. Information entered into one of those tools is handled under the provider's privacy notice, rather than this policy. Each provider sets its own retention and sharing practices. Review that notice before submitting personal information or paying for a service.
Links to Other Websites
Pages link to sheriff, court, state, city, legal-aid, and other search resources. Opening an external link takes you to another operator, whose privacy terms govern what happens there. Read those terms before sharing personal details.
Some advertising companies may track activity across websites to select ads. That tracking is performed on the partner's systems, outside the control of this site.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Information may be handled by:
- Search partners that receive a query entered in their tool.
- Analytics providers that measure site visits and performance.
- Advertising networks that place ads on pages.
- Government or law-enforcement offices when a valid legal order requires disclosure.
How We Protect Your Data
The operator uses customary security measures for the information it receives. Internet services cannot be made completely secure, however, and no method can guarantee that a breach will never occur. The operator cannot promise perfect protection of data sent online.
Users Under 18
This resource is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. If the operator learns that a minor has sent personal data, it will take steps to remove that information.
Your Data Rights
You may ask the operator whether it can provide a copy of information it holds about you, correct an error, erase information, or stop certain processing. Applicable law determines whether a request must be granted. The Tennessee Public Records Act, T.C.A. ยง 10-7-501 et seq., and Washington County's policy apply to qualifying government records. They do not create a general right to inspect personal data held by this private website.
- Ask whether the operator holds information about you.
- Request a correction to information that is inaccurate.
- Ask that information be erased where applicable.
- Ask about stopping a type of processing where permitted.
For county-held records, follow the County Attorney/Public Records Request Coordinator's process and citizenship rules.
Updates to This Policy
The privacy notice may be revised. A new version and effective date will appear here when changes are made. Review this page from time to time if you need to know how visitor information is handled.
